The prize was claimed by a trust formed by a group of individuals who opted to take a lump-sum payment. After taxes, the group walked away with over $250 million, marking the third time a jackpot has been won in the state since it joined the game in 2010.

POWERBALL ONLINE

Powerball® was also integrated into the online offerings of the Pennsylvania Lottery in January 2020. Each ticket for Powerball costs $2, and players can select the Power Play® option for just $1 more. This feature provides the opportunity to multiply non-jackpot winnings by two, three, four, five, or even ten times.

To enter, participants choose five numbers from 1 to 69 and a Powerball® number from 1 to 26. They then select which drawing they want to enter and can sit back and await the drawing results.

As of August 23, 2021, Powerball announced Monday drawings, giving players the option to play on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays. This change introduced the Double Play option, making the PA Lottery the only state that offers Powerball with a Double Play feature available online.

Double Play is a new optional feature that adds an extra $1 fee per game, giving players a secondary opportunity to win cash prizes with their Powerball® numbers in an additional drawing, where the top prize can reach up to $10 million.

The highest Powerball® jackpot recorded in Pennsylvania was in March 2018, amounting to $456.7 million in annuity value, claimed by a single ticket sold in Lancaster County.

To participate in Keno, simply choose up to 10 numbers from a range of 1 to 80 and indicate how much you'd like to wager for each drawing. The PA Lottery allows bets for Keno ranging from $1 to $20 per drawing.

Participants can bet $1, $2, $3, $5, $10, or $20 per play. Prize amounts grow as the bet amount increases, although the cost remains constant regardless of how many numbers are chosen.

Every four minutes, the Lottery generates 20 random winning numbers. For example, matching a single number on a $1 bet yields $2.50, while a successful match of all ten can win a staggering $100,000.

XPRESS SPORTS

In 2018, the Pennsylvania Lottery introduced its line of Xpress Sports games.
